As a Democrat, I take solace in the fact that the Republicans have nominated the guy who lost the nomination to the guy who lost the presidency to the guy who is now the President.

for the record, i'm disturbed at how long i've spent staring at that Zooey Deschanel anigif. i think if you stacked all the time i've spent doing that end to end, it would add up to a full working day.
also, racism. or something. i dunno. what were we talking about?
I consider myself an FDR democrat and an Eisenhower republican. In today's America that makes me a radical without a party.

"Control is an illusion, you infantile egomaniac. Nobody knows what's gonna happen next: not on a freeway, not in an airplane, not inside our own bodies and certainly not on a racetrack with 40 other infantile egomaniacs." - the former mrs cruise
Really, JayDubya? That's what you're used to, aren't you? To silence any opposition or anyone "calling you on the carpet". It's what is going on in the country right now. Folks feel they can spew their hatred, their racism, and their bigotry, unhindered, and without condemnation. Why? Because we're white folks, and we're in charge. Who do these uppity n-words think they are? I'll tell you. Free. Like comedian Paul Mooney says, "White folks are mad, because black folks got away. We lived in your houses, fixed your meals, raised your children...and now, you can't stand to live next door to us, or on the same street. If they brought slavery back tomorrow...white folks would say, "Look, your room is just how you left it ..now go on in there and get your rest, because you got 15 jobs to do tomorrow." And I should be banned..............for telling the truth?
I didn't want to admit it up until now...but the fabled race war seems inevitable. People have let their senses of entitlement go too far, and times are tougher, and resources scarcer.
Anarchy and chaos are around the corner. It was on "Falling Skies". I hope I'm not here to see it. Banning won't be necessary. I'm removing myself.
Aaron, i love you, but i have a funny feeling Malcolm X himself would be going, "Yeah, I don't know this guy" right about now...

Field mentality moves forward, makes change happen. House niggas stay in the house.
I think it's pretty clear who's who.
See the fnords. Or die.
Oh, quite. I liken you to Herman Cain....who was so "house", he couldn't even criticize Rick Perry, for his unfortunately named ranch. And where did I ever use the racial pejorative "nigga", that you seem to bandy about, just like "Chicken George" in "Roots"...who gave up the whereabouts of runaway slaves, for a pork chop and some moonshine?
I hope the "payoff" is all you hoped it would be, Spyder J.

Excuse me? Did you know Malcolm? Mecca caused him to re-think his notion that the "white man was the devil". He came back, epiphanied (to coin a phrase). Folks round these parts think in "black and white"...in absolutes, when the world is shades of gray. Fuck ideologies and hold onto your humanity...and let that dictate how you treat people. Remember the scene from Indiana Jones where the Nazis opened the Ark of the Covenant, and because the Holy Spirit detected their hearts and intentions, laid them to waste? I'd be more worried about what God thinks than what Malcolm would have thought.
