Been there done that with the wife a month before 9/11. We were chaperones for high school students for a teacher friend that planned a trip to Portugal, Spain, France, and England. Got to go for free! Good memories and I loved Paris. Only ran into a few people in Paris that hated Americans. LOL

I love that place: the church is Saint-Eustache, it contains notably a Keith Haring triptych in memory of the epidemic of AIDS deaths during the 1980s (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsWuh-LsMZE); and that statue nearby is L'écoute, children gleefully climb on it

It's a nice city but there aren't enough parcs for old people to sit and for children to play.
