I think it's kind of funny to see white people being subjected to something minorities have had to endure for decades.
Now, it's an issue.

Pat-Downs Hit Middle America Where It Counts
By David Coleman
The recent outrage expressed by white males and females over intrusive airport pat-downs may have an upside. At least at the nation’s airports, non-minority airline passengers who seek to board an airplane are being sensitized to the indignities that are a routine part of the lives of some men of color who merely walk or drive down a street.
As white, male air travelers take up the cause of YouTube hero John “Don’t Touch My Junk” Tyner, a snicker of schadenfreude may be shared among working class and lower class men of color. They may well wonder why the revelation that pat-downs are a degrading imposition of power by government agents has taken such a long time to emerge.
...can't hide from the truth.

Agreed. This goes back to the entire concept of fully understanding and supporting the Constitution in light of understanding Pastor Martin Niemöller famous commentary about standing up for the rights of others lest one fall victim to the same abuses.
When we let our laws abuse the rights of others be they Japanese, Muslims or gays, it becomes only a matter of time and circumstance before those same abuses come full circle around to abuse each of us. That time has arrived. We let our fears of 9/11 push us into sacrificing the hard-won rights gained by our forefathers and now we are seeing those rights being lost as in the name of security. We can't have perfect security and perfect freedom. It's either one or the other or some combination of both. I'd rather have more freedom and risk dying in a terrorist attack since I use my freedom every day, but the odds of dying in a terrorist attack are nil. They came first for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for me
and by that time no one was left to speak up.

Right. Left. Right. Left. I will rape your personality. Pummel you with my own philosophy. Strip you of your self-integrity. To make you all just a bit like me. I said right, left.
