Is it really so shocking that we vote for who we vote for? Is it really so shocking that this guy sounds just like a certain TV pundit? Is it so shocking that this likeness has complete contempt for science and education? Is it so shocking that he is making excuses for himself dropping out of college?

I don't really see any connection to Glen Beck or anyone else. I just see a lazy kid who thinks he knows it all, and will end up being the best durn french fry engineer in all of Nebraska.

If righties get thier way the only choice in higher education will be religious fundamentalist colleges and The Fox News University.

This is a lazy attempt at attacking right wingers.

You guys really don't have much room to talk. Your idea of "higher education" has landed us with a President who "speaks well" with the help of a teleprompter, who has no experience and even less idea of what he's doing other than spending this Country into oblivion.

Obama is a constitutional scholar, and you righties worship Fox News televison personalities and Rush. Your posts reflect that.

HAH! Are you trying to give credence to the "schooling is interfering with my education" theory?

Who goes to college for an education? That's never an idea I entertained. College is for credentials, not education.

You're just proving the right's contempt for education. Nobody would have gone to the moon without teams of highly educated people. Are you trying to say you didn't benefit from your education?

I benefit highly from my education.

All I've gotten from my schooling, however, is a diploma.

Whether or not this statement applies to the majority of people, it applies to me: I learn well on my own. I learn faster on my own, I have no annoying constraints on my own (time, namely), and I can study what I want, when I want.

I'm going to get through college. However, I'm just being clear on why I want to get through college. I will do the bare minimum of what I need to get into my career.

You just brought up "right winger", and filled in the blanks yourself.

You guys really don't have much room to talk. Your idea of "higher education" has landed us with a President who "speaks well" with the help of a teleprompter, who has no experience and even less idea of what he's doing other than spending this Country into oblivion.

My idea of higher education is a system of education that has produced scientists that make your life better, doctors that save your life, engineers that design things you use every day, writers who compose books you read, so an and so forth. It's unfortunate that some have complete contempt for a system that makes their life better in virtually every way possible.

And the complete irony of broken record speak about teleprompters is noted.
