As a Democrat, I take solace in the fact that the Republicans have nominated the guy who lost the nomination to the guy who lost the presidency to the guy who is now the President.

I can't get my camera charged in time but, my favorite Work of Art is a Peter Max litho of Buzz Aldrin called Walking on the Moon. It was autographed to me from Max and Aldrin. I'll charge the camera overnight and try to get a pic of it on here tomorrow.

Yeah, I know that I'm the "unwashed" but who can resist Puccini?

I've heard that before, it's beautiful! Maybe we need to take a trip to Italy?

It's hard for me to be snooty in these things since I'm color blind and very hard of hearing. I've never been a big fan of paintings because they tend to be shades of gray to me. My hearing makes the words of arias or songs impossible for me to distinguish so I don't listen to them very much. My best music is the kind with large movements and big sounds. In the Hall of the Mountain King by Edvard Grieg from Ibsen's play Peer Gynt is one of my all time favorites. Napoleon's Last Charge is another one, my Mom used to play that on the piano when I was growing up.

Maybe you'll let me be snooty in kind of low-brow sort of way?
