All Veteran's and Military personell take an oath and are sworn to protect this Country. So this question is to all my brethren.....When does it Become necessary for those that take such.....to come to action? What would it take?

What Scottie said... I don't understand what action you are talking about. To go to Afghanistan and fight it would take orders to go there.To take action within my country... I do it all the time... at the voting booth.

Military personnel take an oath to support and defend the Constitution, not "the country" per se. There is no duration given for the oath, but I've never heard of anyone being prosecuted for violating it after their term of enlistment. FWIW, I take it as a life long obligation and have taken it several times over the years as everyone does when promoted or renewing their military contract.
