These came from the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs and many of them can use volunteer help. A good option is to go to your local VFW
( Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) ) and volunteer time. Note that there are alot of links that are specific and could use specific help. Please keep that in mind when choosing an organization to volunteer with.

Here's a good one started by an old high school friend. He runs it with the support of a wonderfull woman whom I've known for 20 years. They're good people doing great things. Most recently they organized (and paid for) transportation for WWII vets to visit the memorial.
