    Memorial Day 2006

Last year I went to DC to commemorate the fallen. I won't be going this year, because I just moved and am anxious to see how Memorial Day is acknowledged in my new home state. A group of veterans called "Rolling Thunder" had their annual gathering at DC to again raise attention to the POW/MIA issue. If you have speakers, turn them on for the photoshow I did.

I remember PFC Gary Lee Hall USMC. MIA Cambodia 5.15.1975

And to all of our heros. "Thank you for your service" seems like such an inadequate phrase, but it's all I've got, so "thank you for your service."

I cannot even imagine what it's like to put oneself on the line for their country. I agree. Thanks.

In the earlier 80's, I use to go to DC for the "Rock against Reagan" shows in front of the Lincoln Memorial (a carry over of the 70's "smoke In"). All the old school punk bands used to play. Black Flag, Circle Jerks, The Germs, Flipper, Agent Orange, Buzzcocks, etc., and NORML was always there passing out free pot. It was homegrown leaf, but free all the same. Anyone ever attend one of those shows?

Interesting names those bands have, but when Circle Jerks are protesting a president I would think it helps his public image, worked for Reagan........................Sup Inky???...SSG

That was the good 'ol days when I could care less about politics. I was there for the free pot dude. I do remember the cops on horseback playing polo upside the heads of trouble makers with their nightsticks. Good times were had by all.
