    NFL Football Talk 2011

Some big player movement news now that the lockout is over...

New England Patriots acquire Chad Ochocinco
He wanted out of Cincy (who doesn't?) a few years ago and finally got his wish. He could be just what Brady needs.

Arizona Cardinals (finally) acquire Kevin Kolb
Is he the player they hope he is?

    Miami Dolphins acquire Reggie Bush
Not an impact player, but a nice piece of the puzzle.

    Tennessee Titans get Matt Hasselbeck
Definitely on the downside of a decent career, but if he can be consistent can he help the Titans forget about the Vince Young years?

Minnesota Vikings trade for Donovan McNabb
Who is the real Donovan McNabb? The one from Philly or the one from last year in Washington?

Seattle Seahawks acquire former Vikings QB Tavaris Jackson
    Whatever.

Seattle Seahawks sign wide receiver Sidney Rice
Creates more problems for Minnesota than it helps Seattle.

New England Patriots trade for Albert Haynesworth
Big time hit or miss, maybe playing for a winner will motivate him.

    Cincinnati Bengals sign Bruce Gradkowski
Is this their solution to Carson Palmer threatening to retire unless they move him?

    Buffalo Bills sign Brad Smith
Goes from being an exciting player to watch with the Jets to a player who will probably disappear in Buffalo.

A guy like Bush should be though. Football is a funny game that way because players can complement each other in surprising ways.

    Question

soo am wondering.. since the NFL players are evil socialist leftist unionized liberal scum, any chance the TeaPartiers protest them? a TP boycott of NFL games perhaps?

    TP protest signs maybe?

    Go Giants!!

Although a littel concern, they have to get under the cap and still need people to sign. They let go of 2 of their staple Offensive linemen, a unit that has been together for years now and who were very solid. Although it was time and both were coming off injuries and are getting up their in age. But worrisome, hopefully they have guys to replace them with and the line is good, we depend on it.

They still need to sign Bradshaw and Steve Smith. worried as there is talks about Burress coming back, which although he pissed me off in the past, he is an elite WR. But if they do get him, the likely lose Steve Smith, although he is coming off a major injury. But he was money, especially on 3rd downs.

But I still have hopes, they are in a tough division, Cowboys and Philly are good.

I wonder if any of these moves will really help any of these teams get better.

    Go Pack!!!!

Those that think union employees need an education, should have one themselves before belittling them. I bet a union employee can spell the word " MORON"

Da Bears.....Traded Olson TE for a Wide reciever from the Carolina Panthers Special Teams and for a Draft pick. Bears didnt really need any recievers. IMO I think Da Bears will get rid of Aromashidu all because Cutler don't want him round. Hopefully Cutler will come out and get injured early in the season, and wont Continue to be a prima-donna with the QB issue wherever this guy goes.

Love big blue but seriously what they need is to start issuing handguns to the defense because maybe then they'll stop somebody. I went to giants/cowboys last year @ giants stadium, the game the lights went out. Terrible, not only did they lose, but really 41-35 or something stupid like that. I couldn't get I to them last year, I'd turn them on in the second quarter and every game I watched other 20 points by half. I can't watch it.

The NFL went for parity, they got it, the mediocre football league.

Plus giants stadium itself is a monstrosity, marginally better than Xanadu, I mean can we build ANYTHING notable in Nj?

They also stated there would be more instant replay.....especially when scoring. Something about the coaches not having to throw a challenge flag. But they did say it would be taking up more time with the calls by officials.
