Vince Young... released by the Titans on Thursday, signed by the Eagles on Friday... I really thought he'd last well over a day on the open market.

What do you think about your team signing Vince Young? I understand it gives consistency at the QB position in that if Vick goes down a similarly styled guy is behind him... but that's someone I wouldn't want on my team.
I thin k Andy is a better coach than play caller or talent evaluator.

VY is coming in as a backup with a starter's heart, I like that. I'll take him over a guy like Lienart who had a shot to start in Seattle as CHOSE to be a backup. VY has a great opportunity to show he's a team player and committed to learning the Eagles offense. If he does that, who knows what the Eagles will do, Even with Vick next season. they move older players faster than Mikey drops a conspiracy.... ok, not that often but they are known to surprise..

I read that the Eagles were thinking of trying to get Favre out of retirement. Don't know how true those rumors are, and don't know why they would want to consider such a move. Anyone else heard this?

I'd agree that I'd rather have Young than Leinart... Leinart's a waste of a helmet.

I don't see Vince Young as having the heart of a starter, I see him as yet another guy who came into the league and was shocked that they couldn't dominate the NFL the way they dominated their college opponents. He seems to become disheartened and give up easily. Who knows though, people change and sometimes a change in scenery can do a player wonders.

They got Vince Young to back up vick, and I bet that was just the media trying to make something of nothing. Favre is done.

Yes, this was true, but Favre declined, it's been all over the local radio news here for weeks. Signing Vince Young killed that speculation however..

Even at the Pro level Vince wins. I just don't think he understands winning football, if the Eagles can get that through, he still could be special. I understand Vince also had some outside of Football emotional issues a couple years ago and was considered suicidal, so I'm not sure what really happened in Tenn.

Eagles sign DT Cullen Jenkins... decent inside presence on the line.

Albert Haynesworth no-showed his first Patriots practice. No word on if he missed it outright or wasn't allowed to participate because he didn't pass his conditioning test (heh heh)
