Republicans Reject Science, Scientists Reject Republicans

The Republican Party has a serious infection of anti-science syndrome. And, scientists have noted the The Republican War on Science. The Pew Research Center for the People and the Press came out, last week, with a report
entitled Public Praises Science; Scientists Fault Public, Media. This is an interesting polling report, on a number of levels.

Finally some recent data confirming what most Democrats already know. And since Republicans are constantly proclaiming PEW Research to be irrefutable it may be hard for them to refute the ugly truth...Righties and the media are anti science. I believe because the GOPs strongest demographic is uneducated white men, that there is a general atmosphere that doesn't place enough importance on higher education as a whole.

Higher education including science is critical to competing globally

When they scientifically prove that angry white males have a God-given obligation to dictate morals to and control economic activity of lesser genders and races - then science might win a few more fanse from the Republican base. Until then science can pound sand.

Excellent data. This says a lot, but it has absolutely nothing to do with race.

You are 100% correct. That's why I started the sentence where I reference uneducated white males with "I believe". Perhaps a better choice would have been "IMO"

I find the party's attack on human knowledge disturbing- from their divisive minions in the Christian media spouting "atheist-->evolution-->not true" (when in fact most Christians believe in evolution) to polarizing people on various climate issues. This movement is not radical- it is freakishly complacent to a new dark ages.

Think about this: many prominent Republicans can have empirical evidence presented to them and they flat out deny it. Or bury it, such as what the Bush Admin did for 8 years.
