I've read in George Reisman's book "Government Against the Economy" that the amount of oil that the US have in the rocky mountains in solid form by far surpases the amount that the Middle eastern countries have in liquid form. Also he makes a claim that petrol can be proccesed from coal. He makes that claim in 1979.
What are your thoughts on this guys? This makes asses of everyone who belives anything any government has ever said about any scientific issue for at least a hundred years back.
