Mitt Romney's dad was born in Mexico

I didn't know this until today.

And he has 5 grandmothers.

His family moved to that country fleeing American laws against polygamy, then considered a crucial pillar of his church.

The Romneys are Mexican since Miles Park Romney crossed the border in 1884, rejecting the Edmund Act that in 1882 declared polygamy a felony.In 1890, the Mormon Church (LDS) disavowed plural marriage.

According to an AP story, Miles married his fifth wife seven years later. His own father had 12 wives.

In 1912, Mitt grandfather's Gaskell Romney returned to the U.S. fleeing the Mexican Revolution. (No mention of immigration papers here). The Romney family's genealogy page states he lost all his "home and possessions" there. But the family later sued the Mexican government and was awarded damages in 1938.

This seed money "put the family on a solid financial footing."

Edit: Grandmothers, not great grandmothers. I have no idea how many great anything you'd have if you tried to count all that up.

Considering it's a requirement for the job, all candidates for POTUS should make their BCs viewable to the voting public.

I've seen nothing that would convince me either way, so I fall back on the concept of "innocent until proven guilty". It's kind of a moot point considering he's into his 4th year as POTUS, though. I'm just saying, from this point forward, it should be something that is available to the voting public. I'd like to know if the candidate I'm considering voting for meets the constitutional requirements for the job. Wouldn't you?

Ah, so you're a closet birther. At least have the courage of your convictions and step up to declare yourself. Stop hiding behind the pretense of due process.

Admitting I've seen no proof either way doesn't make me a "birther", it makes me honest.
