I like to stay our of race, politics and religious posts, they always seem so contentious and no one has ever changed a persons predisposition and many people have been warned, given infractions or banned for posts in the previously noted areas.
However I would like to add one line to this thread and maybe I am misreading the previous posts about mortality rates o ondividuals based on race. There is a plehtorra of diseases and psychological influences that are pertinent to a particular race or gender. Breast cancer is much more prominent in women and is one of the leading causes of death in women however breast cancer is becoming more prevalent in men......I unfortunately do not have death statistics on men. Hypertension in Black and White males is a leading cause of death. Some from stress some from diet but yet both races die at alarmingly high rates from the actual disease and its offshoot maladies. In my humble and meaningless opinion, the more we homogenize our society the less focus we will put on life expectancies by race or ethincity and the more we will reflect on working environments, activity levels, tobacco use, alcohol use, sedentary lifestyles and population centers or residential locations as a contributor to death amongst all the people.
For instance cycle cell anemia was once a predominant killer in Blacks. How about if interacial marriage and biracial children caused an elimination of that disorder. How about if the intermarrige between a "down-hone" guy who is "meat and potatoes" all the way marries a person that has eaten a "Mediterranean" diet and thus changes the down-homer to the diet, wht positive influences could this have over coming generations. I think as our national population expands, intermixes we will focus less on inherent biologies and look more at external influences and thus change statistics for life expectancy for all.
Take folks in America that are suppose to live until age 75 now? And someone in the poorer countries in Africa that age 50 is old. A desparity caused more by lack of proper medical care, inability to feed one's nation and uncontrolled overpopulation and lack or adequate housing and potable water. Some of that could be remedied within a few years some of might take decades to change.
