WW3 is only an obsession for religious nutjobs who think it will hasten the return of Christ and bring on the rapture. Two observatons:
1. If they're wrong, getting their wish exposes the rest of the world to needless suffering and death.
2. They assume, incorrectly, that THEY will be the ones raptured. Depending on which Christian cult one belongs to, the definition of who gets into Heaven varies widely.

I doubt the mullahs will take kindly to Israel declaring war on Iran, so yeah WW3 is possible if Israel launches a pre-emptive military campaign against Iran's nuclear facilities. All depends on which side China and Russia decides to support.. Iran/Syria/NKorea/Venezuela or UN/NATO/ArabLeague.

Iran is approximately on the same level, maybe with a little more capability, but nothing to stand up against an array of cruise missiles.

My guess is, the repercussion would be more economic and more longer-term. And terrorism, that too.

you think 5 to 10 days whaaat? A war between Israel and Iran is gonna last longer than 10 days. Bombing Iran's nuclear facilities for just tens days will only piss them off and only slightly delay their nuclear program. after which the mullahs will be reeeally pissed off and they'll just put more effort into making nuclear weapons.

An effective Israeli military air campaign against Iran that truly destroys Iran's nuclear infrastructure would take atleast two months imo.. 2 weeks to take out Iran's air defenses, 2 weeks to bomb the nuke facilities, 2 weeks to bomb them some more, and an extra 2 weeks just in case. But frankly, I just don't see how the IAF can totally destroy Iran's nuclear program without a lot of suffering.. Iranians arent idiots. by now most of their nuke facilities are hardend, underground, and dispersed. and the mullahs can easily detonate a dirty bomb in Israel in retaliation.
