I am not advocating for 100% of anything, I am asking you a simple question. Where is the bright line that the government should not cross?
They've already crossed it IMO. And that goes for both sides of the aisle. Bush and the shitty congress did it (Patriot Act). And now our current one too (NDAA 2012). Although. I never thought I'd see a Lefty choose the side of security & violate the constitution. But Obama has proven me wrong.

Obama isn't violating the Constitution any more than Bush was. If anything, he is violating it less...if at all.

So Bush violating it makes it okay for Obama to do it? Heaven forbid he actually GO AGAINST a Bush policy and try to fix Bush's constitutional wrong. But why would I expect that? He's Bush 2.0.
And one could argue that the idea of taking someone's freedom indefinitely is much worse than listening to their phone calls. But I don't need to play semantics about it. They're both wrong.

    Except that you're wrong.
Kidnapping will get you more time than listening to someone's phonecall. That's what these are akin to.
And the 4th amendment is pretty clear that no US citizen can be held without due process. So no, you're wrong, and I've already proven so. Stop trolling.
