The facts about Walker's lies.
These lies were repeated so many times by Walker, GOP Legislators, and the media they have passed for conventional wisdom. As a service to the people of Wisconsin who may have fallen prey to Scott Walker’s budget hijinks, here are the lies in Scott Walker’s statement exposed:
The “Big Five” Lies in the Walker Budget – in his own words… « Badger Democracy

Wisconsin has lost upwards of 10,000 jobs per month since Walker became Gov. The first thing he did was give big tax cuts to corporation and up the deficit when he took office. Then he cut a billion to education in the current budget. Not a bright move in Wisconsin. Major cuts to education like that needed to be sold to residents not shoved down their throats. If cuts need to be made I believe the residents of Wisconsin would at this point prefer they come from a Democrat than Walker. That is the biggest problem he faces.

Most definitely he should be nervous. There seems to be a lot of confidence on both sides, it will be interesting.
NBC Politics - Enough signatures collected to force Wis. Gov. Walker recall election

Meaningless argument.
Goonionistas follow orders, or get pummeled. So when they're to sign a recall petition, they do it.
Actually what it shows is the desperation of the goonions, who have only a 7% margin in the working population but dominate the field of government employees. It depends on what happens in Wisconsin before the election and who challenges him, but the fact that a recall has happened in this way at this point shows that his political footing has significant problems in the foundation. Meanwhile his opponents have built a very impressive and effective organization.
The goonions are seeing their Great Gravy Train leaving the Wisconsin station and they're feeling anxious. Since Walkers reforms ARE working, the goonions are going to have an uphill battle to fight.
Compounding the issue is that this election will be deemed a weathervane for the Kenyan re-election bid if Walker is recalled, and ignored if the recall steamroller breaks down.
Now, it should be pointed out that the goonions earlier this year spent thirty five million dollars in Wisconsin so the GOP could hold the State Senate. That was nice of them, spending all that money to accomplish nothing for themselves. This is typical of goonions, wasting money and doing nothing.
It's not something that we should encourage in goverment, though.
Anyone here beleeeeeve, with all their tiny hearts, that the Wisconsin goonions came up with thiry five million dollars from in state? And you same people want to whine about the Koch brothers?
Did you miss the fact that the goonions didn't shift the control of the Wisconsin Senate to their corrupt side?It just goes to show that if you're a politician in a blue or purple state, if the unions decree your destruction at any cost, you're pretty much done.
The ends your argument right there.

"after 9/11 bush was polling around 90 percent. that means the vast majority of democrats and independents put partisanship aside and threw in their lot with the country and her president, and it was only after years of bush's abject failure that this support began to erode.
i've yet to see any evidence this move is even in the republican playbook. obama's got a D on his helmet so republicans want to see him sacked. period." Highway234
I don't know if they've bought and paid for the polls, but they have put a ton of money into Wisconsin politics and plan to put in much more for the GE 2012.Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker: Funded by the Koch Bros. | Mother JonesAccording to Wisconsin campaign finance filings, Walker's gubernatorial campaign received $43,000 from the Koch Industries PAC during the 2010 election. That donation was his campaign's second-highest, behind $43,125 in contributions from housing and realtor groups in Wisconsin. The Koch's PAC also helped Walker via a familiar and much-used politicial maneuver designed to allow donors to skirt campaign finance limits. The PAC gave $1 million to the Republican Governors Association, which in turn spent $65,000 on independent expenditures to support Walker. The RGA also spent a whopping $3.4 million on TV ads and mailers attacking Walker's opponent, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett. Walker ended up beating Barrett by 5 points. The Koch money, no doubt, helped greatly.

In a way, the power of dissent is the power of surprise. After hearing someone shout out an errant answer, we work to understand it, which causes us to reassess our initial assumptions and try out new perspectives. “Authentic dissent can be difficult, but it’s always invigorating,” Nemeth says.
