Who's To Blame For The Climate of Extreme Partisanship?

Many threads touch on this subject but I figured a direct poll's results would be interesting.

Each have their own differences in tactics, but both are equally to blame. Putting all the blame on one side or the other implies one side is responsible for stopping partisanship in Washington, DC. BOTH sides need to be responsible for stopping the partisanship in DC.

When has this country not been divided? Maybe when George Washington was elected unanimously by the electoral college. But otherwise, when you have a country where people are allowed to hold their own views and speak their minds then they are going to argue.

I blame those who seek to discover who is to blame.
They shall know me by the tang of my bitter and untenable jadedness.

what would have more interesting would be to know who voted for what answer.

I think when the Republicans vote against their own proposals, Swift Boat their own drafts, and shatter the filibuster record, the answer is clear.

I'd like to hear from the one (so far) respondent that says that the Dems are mainly at fault for the partisan atmosphere. Was that a real answer with reason he/she cares to back up or was that just sticking one's tongue out?
