Thread: Proud to be the goat.

It sucks to be the victim of a bad joke, but it can be a kind of honour to be the butt of a brilliant, perfectly placed jibe. By being the goat you're just happy to be connected to the joke. Happy to be a part of it.

On the national scale, Canada being a favorite tool of South park and Stephen Colbert is kind of a "cool by association". The joke in both cases is actually on America and Americans (it's not Terrance and Phillip who are the bad guys, it's the Mother's Against Canada who are the real target). But today's "The Onion" was nothing short of %10,000 awesome.

Again the joke is for Americans and about Americans, it just uses Canada as the satirical victim and the underlying jab is about American arrogance, but holy crap... this satire was made lovingly by a skilled artist. It almost made me weep. It's beautiful.

This is the funniest thing I've read in years. The graphics are fantastic, the one liners are going to be legend up here for decades. "The Did you know" has been circulating so quickly that I've already had it e-mailed ot me twice - and I sent it out too.

Sorry - I just had to share. I'm still laughing.

The Onion is literally the funniest thing going these days. They are just awesome. The videos just don't have the magic... it's the printed stuff that's majestic. I have a newsprint copy of "Zookeeper raped by bear" in my wallet. I've had to laminate it it's so old.
