Hilarious .... and cutting b/c of the underlying truth in the parable.
Yes, because Republicans would absolutely be against clearing snow off the streets. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. The bias in this thread is mind-numbing.

Biased or not, this is how Washington works these days. Each side opposing the other in order to score political points, or keep the other side from scoring them. Neither side wants the others to look good. Just wait, if Republicans get the White House and the Senate the Democrats will be playing the same game. It's pathetic.

well, yeah, that's true. But I do see things being this petty in Washington. If snow plowing did indeed go that high, it would devolve into just this type of petty grandstanding. Regardless of sides, one side would be for it, the other side opposing it for the purpose of not letting the other side look good.
The only thing all of Washington agrees on is the slow but steady usurpation of rights for everyday citizens.
Indeed I've waxed very pessimistic.
Dude, it's a very funny joke because it's a pretty accurate description of Washington these days. Take off your Republican-bias blinders long enough to note the comment about Democrats tossing in tax cuts to appease the Republicans and still argue this bill into July.
The problem in D.C. is an extremely high level partisanship. It's been going this way since the election of Clinton. It was bad then and is much worse now. So bad, that nothing gets done. Congress is virtually deadlocked. Even when one party does dominate, as soon as the situation turns around, the other party seeks to undo everything done by the previous party. It's dysfunctional and rendering our nation impotent.
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."

"When rules are selectively administered, when bias influences who is punished and who is not then everyone will begin to doubt the justice of the system."
