My View on the Protestant/Catholic/Jewish divide.

From a Protestant point of view, it's pointless.

Protestants, from my point of view, are going to heaven (duh).

Catholics, from my point of view are going to heaven. They accepted God as their creator and Jesus as their savior. That's all you need.

Jews, from my point of view, are going to heaven. They don't need Jesus, never did, Jesus came as the link between us Gentiles and God.

That's how I see it, thoughts?

I agree, great thoughts you have there you smart youngin you!!

I've worked with a few Jewish people, one in particular thought I was crazy for believing Jesus was the Son of God. She told me that in her eyes, he was just a man and nothing else. She tried to convert me, lol. The other Jews I knew were like, "Sure, you can have Jesus, no biggie."

I actually met a "Jew for Jesus" on the R train once, totally cool guy. He was handing out pamphlets about their beliefs. Home - Jews for Jesus

After this I had a vision of a great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation, race, people, and tongue. They stood before the throne and before the Lamb, wearing white robes and holding palm branches 6 in their hands. 10 They cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation comes from 7 our God, who is seated on the throne, and from the Lamb."

I used to perform songs written by Jews for Jesus many years ago. Great bunch of people.

I agree on all points except for the Jews not needing Jesus! They do need him and continued rejection places them in great jepordy. This the Catholics and Protestants can agree with. The acceptance of Christ and the one who sent him is the base alloy of salvation.I believe that no church or religious sect can save anyone! Simply belonging to the Catholic church or any Protestant church will not save anyone.God alone will divide the wheat from the chaff.

Wasn't Jesus' 'mission' to serve as the connection between Gentiles and God?

Feslin - I agree entirely. 100 percent in fact.

but... if Jesus was the path us Gentiles needed to God... does it not make sense that there would be other messangers with the same path for other groups of people? Say, for example, Mohammad, Buddah, and so on.

We accept that Jehova, Yawah, God, Dium, Dieu and on and on are just different names in different languages for the same God... but when we mention that perhaps God was interested in Asian or Middle Eastern souls as well we shut the door on all discussion. It doesn't makles sense to me that God was only concerned with sending a representative to Europe.

In the context I speak of Gentile means non-Jew, not European. However, I haven't closed my mind entirely to the Bahai-ism; which is the belief that God is all powerful, and that certain figures throughout history have been his 'Mesengers'; namely Buddha, Jesus, Mohammed, Moses, and Zoroaster.

All of them prophets of God? Would you also include Ghandi, for example?
