Many of you already know that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints (a Mormon). I decided it might be a good idea to open a thread where I answer questions about the Mormon faith in an attempt to explain some of the misconceptions about Mormons.

Please keep the questions and responses respectful. I will do my best to answer each question; please allow me some time to respond as I do not spend much time on this forum.

Do most Mormons nowadays believe in the literal truth of the historical account given in the Book of Mormon?
