I view many of todays leading relegions (on population following) and I want to slap them... Much of the recruitment of new followers is based on fear. Islam is the biggest one as non-muslims are not only persuaded that they will burn in Hell as infedels, but their own mortal lives are at stake from radicals. Even Muslims must fear for their life from others of their faith! Now, if you think Islam is the only religion getting new members this way you are mistaken, even a newly peaceful Chistianity (yes, newly, the crusades were not that long ago compared to, say the removal of Jews from Egypt) uses fear. Agreeably not as much as in the olden days, but the Bible does say a few things about Hell...
If a relegion does not alow non-members to coexist peacefully and without fear, pressue, etc, than it is not a true relegion. This is just a few points of my idea, id like to hear some of yours
