No contradiction between Genesis 1:3 and verse 14

When one carefully read these two verses you will notice something that is different in the word light. One verse says lights the other says light. The two verses are referring to two different things. One is talking about the light from the sun and the other is talking about the light from the moon and the stars. It is the moon with the stars coupled with the sun divides the night from the day. Now besides for the above mentioned in reference to light and lights, God is just repeating part of what He said in part of verse 4 through verse 5. This is not an unusual thing for someone, even God to repeat part of what He said earlier.

So to clarify, the light that God was talking about in verse 3 is speaking about the sun, and the lights that are mentioned in verse 14 is speaking about the moon and the stars. These coupled with the sun divide the night from the day.

Genesis 1:3-5 (KJV) 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Genesis 1:14 (KJV)14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

The OP made the statement that there is no cotradictions at all in the bible. Me being me, I posted a smart ass remark that in the very first chapter of Genesis there are contradictions.

Oh, this is rich. I love the claim that Moses is the narrator of the Mosaic Books. We also read in the Books of Moses about his own burial. Did Moses himself write this part himself when he was already dead?

I don't think you want to see Issac Asimov's version of this.

But if you do, here you go:
