Thread: Science vs. God

One day a group of scientists got together and decided that man had come a long way and no longer needed God. So they picked one scientist to go and tell Him that they were done with Him.
The scientist walked up to God and said, "God, we've decided that we no longer need you. We're to the point that we can clone people and do many miraculous things, so why don't you just go on and get lost."
God listened very patiently and kindly to the man and after the scientist was done talking, God said, "Very well, how about this, let's say we have a man making contest." To which the scientist replied, "OK, great!"

But God added, "Now, we're going to do this just like I did back in the old days with Adam." The scientist said, "Sure, no problem" and bent down and grabbed himself a handful of dirt.
God just looked at him and said, "No, no, no. You go get your own dirt!"

God created science. Then gave us the mind to understand it.

It's not really science versus God.

It's more the current fad in science versus the current interpretation in religion.

So 30 yrs ago we had an ice age approaching and the religionists scoured their Bibles to find out what it said about the end of the world and ice ages.

Turns out there was no ice age and no one knows when the world will end.

As a race I believe that we will improve both our science and our religious understanding and the two will be reconciled.

Turns out there isn't any god, and depending on how you mean "end" the world's got somewhere between 1 and 5 billion years left.

I really have not seen where the world will end in the Bible.I know this is a popular question but is it really a valid one?

AS for science and God , the two are reconciled already it is just the interpretation of science that is not. Kinda funny because that is a big argument about the Bible.also the charges against it are made by people that really do not understand what it says or means. They are not scholars or learned in the field yet consider themselves correct in their offerings of it's meaning and worth. Then they in turn will require an objector to evolution or whatnot to be a Dr. in the field or they will outright dismiss anything said, no matter how true, as not valid because of the lack of formal study or what they consider lack of it. At every turn it seems that are the very thing they abhor and accuse others of.
I used to think they thought things up on their own and were ju st uninformed but I have found websites that they have quoted word for word . They are not uniformed free thinkers , they are misinformed followers of the almighty web. " In link we trust " is their motto and will defend it and call for it until their dying day or until their cpu crashes.

No it is not science that opposes God , creation or anything else from Him.It is the soilant green of science that opposes the union.They do not even know what they are being fed.

Yeah. Can't prove a negative, but the facts are pretty clear that concepts of God are as useful as tits on a bull that doesn't like body piercings.
