Thread: Did Abraham's Disobedience Create the World's Current Religious State?

No matter how many times I read the story of Abraham, one Fact is too blinding to ignore; Abraham's disobedience essentially founded the religion of Islam.

Genesis 21:
11 This upset Abraham very much because Ishmael was his son. 12 But God told Abraham, “Do not be upset over the boy and your servant. Do whatever Sarah tells you, for Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted. 13 But I will also make a nation of the descendants of Hagar’s son because he is your son, too.”

yes, Christianity and Islam share Abraham. but there's a whole lotta son making going on. and with sons come competition... and well then lack of peace... forever.... until nuclear winter.

I thought you were suggesting Hagar's tribe were Islam...
Islam came about some 600 years after Jesus, and yes, Muslims recognise Jesus, as the Messiah even...born of immaculate conception and ascended to heaven in a living state...

So they say, which is a dubious claim at best... but the split of religions wasn't until much later, its difficult to suggest that Muslims and Jews or Christians sustained a unique geneology for that amount of time.
