Thread: Where do Souls come from?

I have a question about Christianity and I don't feel like going through the Bible to find my answer right now.

So lets assume there is a Heaven and Hell. And our life here is to determine where we will go afterward. Where did my soul come from? And is there an end to the supply of souls?

Did God create my soul, and is he creating a bunch of other souls as we speak for all the new borns?

If so then God seems to be just like a Factory. He creates a bunch of products and the ones that don't meet quality control get thrown away.

Good question, I'm interested to see the answer also.

The soul isn't an physical part of you. The soul is the acknoledgement that you are a part of God.

I don't understand your answer. Do you mean my soul was never created and that god broke a part off his soul and gave it to me?

While we are at it, let me ask this also. What is the soul exactly? Is it your consciousness, the part of you that thinks? Is it your character so to speak? Is it a separate entity, independent of the body?

So why is there a need to create us if we are him. why does he want to judge himself? I'm still lost
