'Tigger' accused of smacking young fan

ORLANDO, Florida (AP) -- A Walt Disney World employee dressed as the character Tigger was accused of hitting a child while posing for a photo, a spokeswoman for the theme park said Saturday.
Park officials temporarily suspended Michael J. Fedelem while they investigate the accusations, Disney spokeswoman Zoraya Suarez said.

Yea, those Disney characters suck. When we went to Disneyland in October of '01, my daughter was 4 years old and standing in line to get a picture with Goofy. Right when she got to the front of the line, Goofy's "handler" grabbed his arm and said, "We gotta go now," then said to my daughter, "There are other characters around the park, go find one of those."
    OOH!!! $*@#! Bastards!!

Re: 'Tigger' accused of smacking young fan

I remember reading The Jungle Book when I was like six, and I don't remember Tigger. The Tiger was called Shere Khan. Is Tigger a Disney invention? Why does Disney have to **** about with all the English/European children's stories and Americanise them? I wonder how many American kids know the man who wrote these stories was called Rudyard Kipling (and not Walt Disney)?

When I was a kid, I knew that stories like Hansel and Gretel were set in Germany, and it did not make the story any less real to me. And I am sure American kids are just as capable of relating to stuff that does not happen in downtown USA - they are not dumb. I think Disney sucks.

Tigger has nothing to do with Jungle Book. It's all Disney and Tigger is one of Winnie the Pooh's friends.

Oh yes, I remember now. Sorry, I got it mixed up with The Jungle Book. It was a long time since I read either, but I don't remember Tigger in a the A.A.Milne original.
