    Brushes with fame?

Just wondering if any of you have had your 15 minutes of fame or have brushed up against fame? I am not talking about going to a book signing, or meeting a celebrity at an event...

    Examples:

    I was on TV

I grew up with someone famous

I have a freind or relative who is famous

    I dated someone famous

    I invented something

I wrote something that became popular

    I was in a movie

I have a few....My dad was a naval aviator and was stationed on Whidby Island (seattle area) and he befreinded the family that was depicted in "Yours, mine and ours" starting Henry Fonda and Lucille Ball. I played with some of their children as a youngster.

I also went to school (4th-7th) with Peter Ostrum in Shaker Heights Ohio. Peter played "Charlie" in Charlie and the chocolate Factory. He went to Germany to shoot the film in 5th grade I think...he is now a Veterinarian in New York I believe.

My dad also flew for Arnold Palmer the golfer for a year or so before he learned to fly his own jets...got to meet him a few times.

My wife and I were on a local TV station for Jerry Lewis telethon with a foster child we had at the time, he was mentally challenged and MD.

Well that's all I can think of for now...anyone else have any?

I was interviewed on TV for NBC local news and I have been on Cable TV several times for Commission events for 2 different Commissions I was on.

Bastian Booger stole my Butterfinger bar and ate it wrapper and all at a WWF Wrestling match here at the then called Arrowhead Pond and Jonathon Taylor Thomas was also there and slapped me a high five when he walked out behind Bastian.

I sold Munky from Korn some shirts when I worked at Target and saw he wore one of them in one of Korn's videos.

AND Snoop Dogg helped my friend rebuild my car's engine so I could give the car to my friend's mom.

I was interviewed on a local radio station when I was 18 for setting the state record in the mile.

In a movie. Honey Boy, starring Eric Estrada. What? That fits the criteria.

Interviewed by a LA tv news crew about 'life in the army'.

3 second spot in a recruitment video.

Not sure if this counts but I gave a tour of Mystic to Clint Eastwood and Stephen Speilburg.

    Nothing really...

I went to High School with Teri Hatcher...she was a year behind me

I met David Hartman in 1974 down in L.A. (he was an actor in the TV show "Lucas Tanner", (a drama about a High School teacher), at the time; a year later he became the first host of "Good Morning America."

My Mom went to school, (Northwestern), with more than a few actors and actresses. One she also played bridge (cards) with: Penny Fuller, was in the series 'Bare Essence" ('83) and the series "Fortune Dane" (86), (the Carl Weathers police drama); she won an Emmy in 1982 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a special.
She also went to school with Richard Benjamin and his wife Paula Prentiss

My wife met Jerry Rice when he came in to the store she worked at.

My brother met Jerry Rice and other 49ers' and Raiders' players at the bank he works at.

My sister met Gregg Allman, (of the Allman Brothers Band), at the store she used to work at.
