Clapton's 4-year-old son falls 53 stories to his death and the song Clapton wrote to deal with the pain begins "would you know my name if i saw you in heaven"...every other song is for conversational purposes only.

True personal pain like that shouldn't be marketed or shared, imo.
It cheapens the whole deal. The song never really got to me.

I was going to post his Tears in Heaven song, but Cicero beat me to it. I see the song as somewhat hopeful that he will see his son in heaven. The song Hurt as Cash sings it is just sad and depressing, no hope at all. Originally Posted by Sparta
