    Where is winter?

I live in northern MIchigan. Snow totals are down by about 25 inches so far for the year from the norm. We have just a dusting right now. Some spots further north are down close to 40 inches. This has been a very abnormal winter thus far. 40 degrees today and set a record high recently with temps of 54 degrees. How is it where you are? Or are we the only unluky ones?

I don't miss the snow, and have NO PROBLEM with it being in the 50s and 60s.

Besides the fact that I hate the cold and I have no desire to shovel snow, we're saving lots of money. I just hope the rest of the winter is just like it has been so far.

Yeah bro we're in the 50's still which is crazy hot for this time of year. I haven't even broken out the coat yet. But last year it was freezing well into March, I remember posting a photo of my dashboard here during spring and it was reading 29F. Maybe we're just shifting, no snow yet of course.

I'm kinda waiting for a nice frigid snap myself!
I put in a new 95% efficient furnace this Fall & am now using my coal stove as a supplement rather than main heat source.
Easiest winter I've had in over 30 years but I need some cold weather to really test it. (it's been so warm the coal stove has really done most of the heating just idling...so far)

We had snow in October it was a Snow Fest -----
' Oh bury me, then rise ye up
    And break your heavy chains
And water with the tyrants' blood
    The freedom you have gained.
And in the great new family,
    The family of the free,
    With softly spoken, kindly word
    Remember also me."

We just finished the warmest Nov on record here in Portland, Maine. It's weird. But my back is grateful for the lack of shoveling . I do miss the snow, however. Come March, I'll be regretting those words, I expect.

My back is grateful that just one dusting occurred here on Long Island.
