    Divided by the Cascade Mountain range, Washington is a land of contrasts. Western Washington is characterized by a mild marine climate, while the eastern part of the state is high-desert country.

    A little snow comin' tonight, but it's only maybe an inch or two. C'mon ole man winter, where ya at? Been raining non stop for the last 12 hours.

    Here in Western WA we have had a cold snap the last few weeks and it actually got down to freezing and below...

    No snow though.

    Last night it was only down to 40 so I hope the cold is over.

    We get clouds here that act like a blanket in winter and provide shade and rain in summer.

    I love Washington State, everyone should be so lucky.

    Hood Canal retirement next year I'm hoping, just call me Jeremiah Johnson.
