Cold here in Maine yesterday too. -7ºF for a low, with wind chill, it was below zero.
Up in the 30s by this afternoon tho, so it didn't last long.

The mid-Atlantic region is again swimming in 50+ degrees for the foreseeable future.

It is February, right? Fuck it, dude. Let's go golfing.

I actually set my first golf date in stone yesterday, it's not till May 5 and I will definately golf before then, but it does wonders for moral to know that on a specific day I will be golfing.
    I only tebow in foxholes.

It's almost time to plan the annual boys-only golf trip into MD, usually in early June. They have some magnificent courses there, and you can rent a mcmansion for a bunch of people. You take 8-10 guys and including three rounds of golf at really nice courses on the water and the house, and dinner Friday/Saturday at some place for steak or burgers and a lot of alcohol, you walk away for $500-600 apiece. It's amazing and again, the courses are spectacular. Rum Pointe is as nice as you could want a course to be, and they run out and attack your vehicle when you arrive like old-timey gas station attendants, start pulling bags out of the trunk and loading up carts, taking information and getting you all lined up. I think the other one is Lighthouse something-or-other. These things are beautiful. There are two more that I think are named after race horses? Something about a war. Fucking great shit, man. Like plugging your soul's batteries in for 3 days.

Wow that's really cheap, did you find those deals separately or did you go through an agent? I need more info.

We've had a few days of actual winter here....finally....a little bit of snow that lasted for more than a day and some days in the 20's and 30's. We had to re-find our winter coats. WooHoo!

Well, now I don't know if y'all have heard but we've been having one of the coldest winters in some time over here across the big pond. The temperatures are finally around 0 to -5 degrees Celsius. I'm starting to hate snow, having to shovel it every or every other day.

Booked as a package for all of the participants, through some sort of agent, maybe GolfZoo, something like that. If you google golf vacation packages you should find plenty.

Rum Pointe...I can't say it enough. I remember it like a beautiful dream...the water, the perfect grass from rough to fairway to green, then steady flow of beer from the really healthy looking chick who gave me a cooler full of ice for my cart... The GPS of course on the back of the cart that maps out every little bunker, shows distances to every angle on the hole. It was one of the best days ever.

Sorry to hear that. We would have gladly shared some of that with you. I have a friend you created a small pond so his kids could ice skate and play hockey but, alas, no snow and temps in the 50's and 60's F quashed that.
