Generally, I like birds. But I hate this one bird. For the past week this bird in our yard starts tweeting at about 3:15 am. Over and over and over the same song over and over and over and over until about 6 am. The damn thing is driving me insane. That and the yappy dog down the street.

I'm going to come out and say it. I hate St Patrick's Day. That's not to be confused with hating the Irish. I'm a quarter Irish myself. But how did people start celebrating an ethnicity by embracing the worst stereotypes of it?
But it's mostly the incredibly obnoxious drunk in the middle of the day parade attendees that I hate.

I wonder if that is how foreigners view our 4th of July celebration... "there those Americans go again, getting drunk and blowing shit up."
