Nope. In fact I've lost about a half a million bucks because I refused to do so.

I was in very early on a software company which still to this day is very successful. In the old days it was awesome. The nature of the business changed, the product didn't conflict with my morals but the company culture did. I dreaded every single day that I woke up.

Life is way too short. On my deathbed I'm going to go back and recall every single day that I lived and I'm absolutely certain I won't be slipping through a checkbook. I have no problems being miserable because of stress, hard work or being overwhelmed. In fact, I welcome it. I have a problem with that feeling I get in the right side of my stomach when there is something wrong, I know it's wrong and know there is something really fucked up going on.

So no. I'd rather be destitute than compromise the things that I hold most important. Those things are few and far between, to be sure, but I have a few things which you just don't do and unequivocally I wouldn't do them for any job.

If you're asking me if I'd prostitute myself... I'd love to!

    I know what that's like.

Early in my software sales career I worked for a medical practice management software publisher that knowingly distributed bug riddled versions of software. Then kept promising fixes in upgrades that we charged for and they never came in the upgrades. And we charged them for the tech support for all the problems caused by our f'd up program. They targeted Chiroprators because they're small and didn't ever really litigate anything. I used to sell this product and have to face people right out of Chiro school (on the phone) who spent 10K of their limited startup money on our software that didn't do what they needed done. It took me about two months to realize that the company just stonewalled complaints and tech issues. And I quit outright without another job lined up.

Not for long... But, let's say I didn't have any employment at the moment and the company was not committing crime or fraud, but just something I didn't like. I could hold my nose and do it for a short time to feed my family.

I personally think one of the products my company sells is of lower quality than our competitors so I refuse to show it and when asked about it I tell them I personally feel that if they were happy with their current product they should stick with it. I've tried both and I think ours is crap and I've had multiple complaints about it. My boss heard me say it and I spent the next hour in the car hearing about it. When I tried to explain my side of the story he didn't want to hear it because I have certain numbers I have to reach to hit my goals. That's one reason I no longer work for that company or even in that career as of March 30. I personally felt what I did was admirable and would want a person in my position to do the same for me. I wouldn't want to work with someone who wouldn't tell me their opinion so I certainly would not want to work for a company that won't. Took me a while to stand up for myself though.

Well that wasn't the question because obviously being a man-whore aligns itself perfectly with your morals. No conflict.

Just remember... anyone you'd want to have sex with probably doesn't need a prostidude. And women have rugby teams too.

    (shudder)

I am currently working for a company that conflicts with my morals. Daily. You wont find many more conflicted than me.

I'd smash puppies with hammers if the money was right. My responsibility is to my family.

Doesn't that responsibility go beyond financial?
