I got this message today:

All I can say in response is that it's stupid. If someone is offended then maybe they had no business here to start with.

An open forum without the first amendment is ridiculous.

We are not the U.S. government. We are a privately owned site.

Because we are a privately owned site, it is a privilege to post here.

You agreed to the terms of service when you registered here and by doing that you agreed to follow the rules of this site.

Since you violated the rules, the mod team took action against your post and issued an infraction as a result.

As a reminder, you should direct moderator complaints through PM and nothing more.

Infractions can be appealed through that process.

It's not an "open forum." It's a privately-owned forum subject to rules that we're all expected to follow. You are allowed to post here because the owners of the site are permitting it, for now.

Cease acting like you have some weird typographic form of Tourette Syndrome, and you'll be just fine.

What is ridiculous is the amount of people who don't understand what the first amendment means and who it protects them from.
