The point of this post is for comparison reasons of the two subjects in the post. Writer does not assume responsibility for kneejerk reactionism.

I cant see the video (work computer), but I would say that the criteria for comparing someone to Hitler would be - 1) The use of minorities as a scapegoat to rile up the majority - 2) Passionate worship of the military and the soldier mentality - 3) The use of propaganda to blame all the problems of the majority on ethnic and or religious minorities - 4) A deep belief in the genetic inferiority of foreigners - 5) A value system that sees nuclear families with mom at home and dad at work, and dad as head of the household. - 6) The primacy of Christianity and the villification of other religions or beliefs. - 7) The importance of flags, rallies, chants, parades, fireworks etc to excite the public. - 8) A harsh, bleak capitalist philosophy that uses government force to prohibit trade unions, labour laws or socialism of any kind. - 9) Immediate and overwhelming use of force with little or even no provocation. -10) The desire for endless war for war's own sake. War is believed to keep the country vital and healthy. - 11) The ruthless destruction of any scientist or thinker whose findings do not fit a nationalist agenda. Loyalty to the nation is more important than independant truth.Now sorry - but if you're looking for modern day comparisons; Donald Rumsfeld, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, European neo-Nazis, Hells Angels, Russia under Putin.No one else I can think of.

That guy takes crazy to a whole new level.

That is the point...trying to compare nazi figures (whether in method or actuality) to conservative figures, Liberal figures...or anyone for that fact is a waste of everyone's time.

I disagree. I think making a comparison that's not valid is a waste of everyone's time, particularly when you use two threads to do it, but valid comparisons are not.
