Why this forum is a waste of time

Because after all the tapping of keys and the point/counter-point, nothing gets done because not one of you people are inside the inner circles of corruption, ahem, Gov't. that run this world.

Therefore you are all wasting your time and effort for some "cause" that is ineffectual and void of all meaning.

Do you think the media or the Congress gives a damn what you type here?

My new years wish is for all of you to seek a new outlet for your energy by getting into art or some humanitarian cause where you will actually see the fruits of your labor rather then hashing out ideas till doomsday. Smoke some weed people!

In the big scheme of things what I do in life is meaningless. But, how I live my life is of outmost importance to me, and thus consequently to the universe. I have to say that I'm very grateful to this site because of things many people that are here have posted in the past. Not because they were absolutely right and my logic agrees with their logic but because I looked up things they were talking about and as a consequence I'm more informed on some issues.
I don't take myself that seriously to believe that I'm the Messiah. After all this is a virtual cafe. Of course there are people who fight with each other and who's only wish is to convert others into their way of thinking but they're a minority if you look at it.
What you're talking about is edot, which is a different level of a more or less same mindset that is predominant on this forum.
If your goal is to learn and educate yourself then every place on earth is a classroom. Even if it is virtual.

I suppose that this forum could be a classroom, but there are so many different points of view that it clouds reality. There are people out there that will tell you that up is down, and that the sky is green.

In other words, the world is full of idiots that get their gibberish from one source and believe it whole-heartedly and then try to force it on everyone else's throat. I.E. Christians/Bible.
