Thread: I am thinking of having my leg amputated

It may be getting so bad that I may have it removed. I am starting to have real problems walking, in fact without my cane I can't. Tough ass decisions ahead. I see amputees from Iraq move with ease, that gets me thinking.

Get a robotic one and become the bionic man.

I dunno, I do not think an emoticon and a silly joke means a lot to me. You have never worked in your life, hell you probably will be worthless until the day you die. Do me a favor little boy, shut up and ignore what I say.

Losing a leg is not such a big deal these days. It could be much worse, like if you had cancer.

Mike, would the amputation stop the progression of your condition?

Can you just do that? I mean, go into a surgeon's office and say, "cut off my leg". Would your insurance company consider that elective surgery then, and refuse to pay for the operation or the prosthesis?

If the problem's in your back, it may not help anyway.

No, it is in my spine. I have degenerative disk disease. But I would not have to drag it around.
