Why would you do this next to a cliff?

The man who died Thursday evening in a fall from a Fort Bragg cliff was a 22-year-old transient who had reached out to grab a friend who had lost his balance.

Keith W. Campbell was found lifeless at the bottom of a bluff after he reportedly had been "play fighting" with a friend, according to a news release posted Friday from Mendocino County Sheriff's Lt. Dennis Bushnell.
Campbell's friend, Adam P. Portales, lost his balance and began to fall over the edge of a bluff west of Bay View Drive about a mile south of the Highway 1 bridge over the Noyo River.

I dunno, maybe looking at the face of a cliff going up is cool.

Seeing how it's prime territory in the Emerald Triangle, I am going to guess that may have been a contributing factor.

We used to have a place in Westport, north of Ft Bragg. The entire oceanside of 1 in Westport is cliff. We sold it and relocated our vacations to a place at Dillon Beach because my Mom was getting neurotic keeping track of the three of us little ones.

There are indeed numerous ways to die down oceanside if you're young, old, high, drunk, or stupid.

Aren't they in Sebastopol or Petaluma? And no, never went. We did always go to Anna's? Alice's? Pearl's? Diner in Sebastopol.
