What the heck was Boston thinking? Who is Pauley? Why would they start him? I guess they figured they should be happy with the wildcard. I am just surprised that they quit like that.

In the post game, Francona stated that because of the rain delays, he chose to use the game as a rest game for his stars and to get the reserves some work (He said it better than that, but you get the idea).

He did this a LOT last year in September and the Sox won the series.

I think the Sox brass may also be wanting the Angels in the first round.

I was watching the game today and I went fucking nuts first when Braun hit that homerun in the 8th and then when Lee grounded into that Double Play. Then watching the after game celebration was just too much fun. I am enjoying the moment with no apology.

The last time the Brewers went to the playoffs I was in college. It was the seventh game of the WS and I was getting ready to go to Milwaukee with a bunch of drunk friends and the Brewers started to get clobbered. Probably saved my life that night. We were lit up like Christmas trees.

Its really cool seeing Yount back in the dugout. He is still my favorite ballplayer. Him and Hank Aaron are what baseball is all about.

Enjoy it now Brew Crew, 'cause it won't last long. Too bad C.C. couldn't pitch every night. Then you might have a chance. That was the best mid-season pick-up no doubt.

I imagine rooting for a NL team is sorta like pulling for the NFC North.
