Thread: Ahhhnold bans trans fats in CA eateries

The reasons Trans Fats couldn't keep from getting banned in the Golden State, is that Doctors really hate them and Ahhhnold pays attention to them which sounds like a good thing, and there are no money weilding lobbyists for Trans Fats in Washington DC, like the Tobacco lobby.

I guess you could say I'm of two minds on the subject. First...what if those Doctors look at how much saturated fat is in Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream and try to ban it?!

And what next...the famous deep fried pork chop sandwich breaded with pancake batter topped with maple syrup and served open faced atop french toast...you can't make that with Canola Oil. California is hoping to lead the charge on banning TF nation wide. What will South Carolina do without the Pork Chop Sandwich?

I bet Maria is at least partially responsible for this too. She's alway got stuff to say about California schools, on an on she goes, California schools, blah blah blah.

And you Democrat blamers...not this time! California is a bipartisan nanny state! and you know about Ahhhnold.

So I guess I'll live longer without TF, but the Orwellian end to this is gonna be Supermarkets with food like the pioneers ate, and Resturants with lot's of salads and oddly unsatifying fried foods tasting like olive or canola oil.

Well, I'd have much rather seen BJ Ice Cream banned on the principle of foiling sedition.

The amazing thing to me, is that suggestions to regulate the diets of the Citizens can be entertained for 2two minutes by any Legislature in America.

Folks, if they can regulate your diet, there is absolutely nothing in your life that they cannot justify regulating.

As for our Leftist friends, whatever happened to the concept of "Government keeping its hands off of my body?" Did that apply only to the abortion issue?

Look forward to people being charge with criminal child abuse a few years hence for failing to slather sunblock on their children, court ordered blood tests of children to determine proper diet, and persons being confined under mental health emergency protocols for poor nutritional choices.

By the way, the current line of reasoning will eventually demand the outlawing of the sun.

Oh and yes we do have something to blame the dems for here...they want to remove the death penalty and life sentences from child abuse and child sexual abuse convictions. They idiotically believe pedophiles can be rehabilitated and cured. Just like Vermont thought so when they released Michael Jacques early from both prison and probation so he could molest his own sister, daughter and then his niece whom he also murdered. Uh huh...just ask Brooke Bennett how well sexual predators can be rehabilitated...oh wait you can't! She's DEAD!

How Ironical, I from time to time through my Counseling come accross addicts who are sexual prediators because they admit it to me. The law says if I believe someone's life is at risk, I have to inform the police. But HIPPA, privacy act says I can say nothing. I won't say anymore about how I handle that, but it's unethical, AND the right thing.

So...You have to kill Sexual Prediators, they won't do life no matter what law says so. Wardens and Probabtion people rule that process with the extremely rare Gubernatorial intervention.

I refer all of them also to 12 step programs for Pedophiles because the pathology is very similar to addiction. There success rate is about the same as AA, estimated at 10-20%. So Pedophiles who are out and not dead, will most likely offend again. But the 10-20% who change thier ways and work hard to stay that way should not be harrassed or harmed.

Also, in all this babbling I've done sharing my experiences...they have nothing to do with Democrats or Republicans. Pedophilia is a disease and they don't have control over thier actions, laws are not a deterrent to irrationaly driven Sexual Perdiators. Like Heroin addicts, they're gonna do what they're gonna do. They are not competent mentally to respond to a deterrent. You must kill them to guarantee they will stop.

Are pedophiles chemically stimulated by transfat or something?

I just have one question... do people in California actually want this?

I suppose I would support this for a state, but it is still so strange....

Most liberals just seem to support a state being able to decide on abortion... which is kind of like this... idk. But this is really is too much of a precident of the government controlling what types of fats people can serve....
