    political podcasts?

I was wondering if anyone has any podcast recommendations for political or semi-political subjects? I like Smodcast (Kevin Smith's) and also the one by Bill Maher (I specifically love it whenever he starts talking about food and nutrition - and I can't wait for Religulous!) and my latest find is more obscure - The Joan Kenley Show. I like the former two for their humor and incisiveness and I like the Joan Kenley Show because it's not about politics per se but brings a high level of intellect and a spiritual foundation to roundtable disussions on a lot of different subjects (politics, health, personal responsibility). It feels very educational, but is still entertaining. Any more ideas for me?

    Re: political podcasts?

Some of the Daily Show (the parts that aren't liberal propaganda) is actualy quite entertaining and politically educational. John Stewart is a very smart guy if you see the comments he makes about his show, and what he says when he debates other people. I kind of wish that he was a politician in Washinton, which would of meant that he would of had to pick a different path in his career.

I know there is podcasts of that show.

    Re: political podcasts?

I love The Daily Show. I watch it on TV. I wonder if the podcasts are free? I should have mentioned that The Joan Kenley Show is free and there are no commercials - and that's the kind of thing I'm looking for. I agree with you that The Daily Show makes politics very accessible, I bet a lot of people get most of their political info there. I also wish he'd run for office!

    Re: political podcasts?

I used to listen to Mark Davis until he disappeared. Sometimes I'll download Dennis Miller. If I'm in for some fantasy listening, I'll listen to Alex Jones. This week, I'm gonna go watch Batman instead.

I'd like a link - if possible! Random trivia... I was looking for more podcasts like The Joan Kenley Show and googled her... I found out that she is the voice of voicemail for like half the voicemail systems... including my own (west coast AT&T). Totally didn't recognize her voice... trippy.
