What we find attractive is largely based on symmetry. The more symmetrical a face is, the more appealing it appears to others. But there’s not much we can do, short of surgery, to change the symmetry of our faces. There are ways to mitigate our asymmetries, however. You may have heard a woman in your life talk about getting a haircut that flatters her particular face shape. While dude haircuts don’t come in enough varieties to have the same effect, there is another way guys can balance out their faces: hats. All hats make a man look more dapper. But picking a hat that is right for your face shape will increase your attractiveness and give you an ever sharper appearance. If you’ve been inspired to bring back the hat, but weren’t sure what kind of hat to get, this guide will help you pick the right hat for your ugly mug.

Hell no. Seriously, what ever happened to the days when men took great pride in their hats and dress? When the clothes made the man? In fact, when was the last time men were allowed to take pride in anything?

As my friends and enemies agree I am not a clothes horse. If it is fairly clean and fits I am happy.

I take pride in a great many things. One of them being that neither my clothes nor my hats have anything to do with the type of man I am. Any man that had to rely on clothes to establish the type of man he was was really not even a man at all in my book.

I have several hats...wool, straw, leather, and of course, your average baseball cap type.

My favorite head covering is a plain ol' bandanna for working in the yard or just bad hair days!

I am a big fan of the hat. I have several. I favor a sombrero when working in my garden, for obvious reasons, plus I am bald, I have a full head of luxurious hair, but I choose to wear it shaved for safety reasons. When I am out and about I prefer a fedora, but I have a variety of floppy hats and crushers. I also have a skipper’s cap (similar to the one the skipper wore on gilligans island) for when I am on my boat. I also like the bandana.

So, guys, what kind of hats do you favor?

I have a Kangol wool driving cap, a couple of beaver porkpies that I got at Goodwill and several standard baseball caps. I like to keep the bills kind of flat and dorky like an old man. I have a straw hat with a green visor thingy on the brim on it to work in the sun.

I never understood the green visor thingy, I know the exact hat you speak of though. When I was a kid and my folks took us to Disneyland those goofy hats were the only souvenier (spelling) we were allowed to get, whole damn family walking around with them goofy ass hats on, but so were all the other families..........
