Post products/appliances, etc that you have tried and let us know if they work or they don't.

For example, I have a shark steamer (they run about $100) and that thing cleans everything...it got gum off my carpet in my car, it cleaned red dye off my carpet and it cleans all those crevices on the dishwasher and stove. I love it and couldn't live without it.

On the other hand, I can't find a decent ceramic glue to save my life. My kids bring home projects they made in art class and they rarely survive the bus ride home. I have a draw full of their projects that are in pieces. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I've never steamed a shark, but thanks to one of my little princesses, I'm about to try it out on red lipstick on a beige carpet.

thanks both of you. I tried that green putty stuff that's advertised on television and it was about as useful as an ashtray on a motorcycle.

On edit: It appears that if a product is named for an animal, it is effective.

    Works.

I reassembled a shattered Chinese vase with it...it's no longer worth a nickle, but it looks nice in the corner.

Note: It oozes during the reaction and curing process, so have something handy to wipe it off as you go.
