I was thinking that using a false name would protect you, but actually that would make it worse : "secret agenda, writing under a false name" - you can imagine it!

This is an excellent question.

I will avoid commenting upon the expressed opinions of others, though the temptation to opine is staggering.

I post what I truly believe to be true, although is has happened that my mood at the time or my emotional response to a post to which I was replying certainly colored my choice of words or led mt to overstate.

In general, I post with a sense of responsibility to be honest and truthful. This includes correctly expressing my opinions.

If we're talking about just what we've written on this site?...I live my life practicing rigorous honesty and conduct fearless moral inventories on a regular basis. So unless somebody lied to me and I passed that on, or if I'm delusional, or completely psychotic. You won't find any lies from Goldwater.

Previous to 10 years ago I had trouble with drugs, bikers, and the law. And everything I've done would keep Dateline, and all the Cable News Networks rolling in marketable media for months. Nobody would vote for me after it all came to light. But I'm much better now.

Wow. I didn't think of this.

Sparta, can you extend the "edit" function time period to indefinite?

I'm sure it will happen, but not for a few more administrations yet.
