Thread: Describe the last thing you wanted to discover:

The attraction of MMORPG's (massive multiplayer online role playing games) baffles me to an extent.
Why is it that people can play them for hours and not think anything of it? Why is it that people play them, and many times say 'Oh I only play it 20 hours a week....not that much"

I played for a little while and was told by my nephew I'd have a lot of work ahead of me to be able to enjoy the full benefits of the game. Then when I got there I'd have to be on time, raid for hours, 4-5 nights a week, download addons, understand my role, and be cooperative, it would be awesome... he said.

I told him I already have a job and I actually get something out of it.

I'm not sure what it is about the games but it seems to me there are set limits in the games which are tangible and easy to figure out even for a monkey.

The last thing I wanted to discover is the full power of music and how to use it for my own ends.

I played City of Heros for a bit. Not even close to 20 hours a week tho, that's quite a bit. It was fun but I still prefer games that I don't have to dedicate part of my life to. But if GTA ever came out with a MMO, I'd be hooked.

Does Oblivion have a MMO version? I played elder scrolls on the 360 a bit. Not bad, but just toooo big of a game. Took forever to do anything.

Besides the simple explaination of how addictive they are, I think they're fun and it's at least one step above the alpha wave hypnosis from Cable News.

I probably play about 1-2 hours a month, Call of Duty, and that's why I'm not great at it. But I have a rule about sitting when I'm not working the weirdest hours possible at the hospital. I never stay sitting longer than one movie. I at least get up and walk the dog around the block before I sit my ass back down in the recliner and do some PH.

Goldwater, is that Call Of Duty 4? Awesome game, I play that a bunch. Great online play!

I guess you didn't realize there was a whole science to music. Many of the greats figured this out which is why I haven't, I'm not great. Just average.
