Thread: Why do people do this ...?

My fave uncle sent me ₤200 for Christmas, and I was telling my cousin and his friend about, when his friend who is like 22 (and I thought was quite mature) said it was coz my uncle is gay and he fancies me.

Even my cousin was shocked, and said that was BS, but we both asked him why.

Well this guy has known our family for a long time, and he said it was obvious coz my uncle is nearly 32 and like he's not married, and he is always so specially nice to me (like he took me on a round the world trip) that he must want something from me, and it is obvious what.

My uncle is my dad's younger brother and he has always been very nice to me even when my dad was alive, and when my dad died my uncle was like a second dad to me. Like he would come up to school and take me out on the weekends, and stuff like that. And he's definitely not gay, coz the chicks all think he's hot - even my GF says that.

But I am ashamed to admit, even though I know it can't be true, it has made me worry about stuff like that. So what does this guy think he is achieving by saying something like that? It has spoiled so much for me.

Maybe he is just jealous of the relationship between you and your uncle.

That's what I think. I don't know you but I think everyone has their favourite uncles, aunts etc. And everyone gets more from someone than the others and I highly doubt everyone is homosexual!

I didn't ask this prick anything - my cuz and me were just talking about what we got for Crimbo.

And yeah my uncle is pretty cool, and I've got nothing against gays (one of my best mates at school is gay - and we share a room) but I don't believe what this guy is saying. I certainly don't believe if my uncle was gay, that he wants to hit on me. But I'm just mad at this guy for making me feel uncomfortable about it.
