Thread: Wouldn't it be weird?! *Has this ever happened to you?

Wouldn't it be weird if your were on a forum, say, I don't know, Political Hotwire, and you'd been there more than 6 months or so. Everytime you read this one member's posts, you swear it "sounds" like someone that you knew AND then found out it was someone you hadn't seen or heard from in a long time, like a best friend or a boyfriend/girlfriend.

Has that ever happened to any of you?

I was just thinking what if someone on this forum was someone I actually knew years ago, but didn't know it was that person?

It would all depend on how much you shared I guess.

I think most people open up and share things on line that they wouldn't necesarily share in person. I t would also depend on whether I liked that person or not. If it was a real good friend from school or something, that would be neat. If it was my neighbor, that'd be just creepy

Yes I have wondered that too. A couple of times I thought it might be the case.

It would be wierd yeah, but I get that all the time. Like something about someone reminds me of somebody, but I just can't put my name on it. With so few users for that to happen on this forum would be very unlikly, but funny as hell at the same time.

Nah, I don't know many South African's who are even slightly politically aware, so that thought never occured to me
