Does anyone here understand File Transfer Protocol (FTP)?

My ISP provides a 1 gig domain, and I have managed to access it and put some stuff on there, but I am not sure how people can download that stuff. Can anyone advise me?

It's simply ftp://your ip address here...

It's like your own folder on the internet where you could upload and download stuff... like a hard drive on the comp.

You needn't get an host you could easily turn you computer into an FTP server with some FTP software... if you've gotten it, then there is a link on the control panel that provides you with some fields to add in IDs or allow anonymous log-ins on the server or folder...

Oh yeah, you could simply upload stuff and provide people with the URL... needn't create an account... (zips, rars or stuff).
